Our Music program consists of pre-professional training for youth ages 6 years and older in music theory, percussion instruments and voice. Students are mentored and molded into versatile artists by instructors and teaching artists with years of professional music training, university marching band training and/or a higher level degree in the arts. The Brownsville Excellence Marching Band performs at several events throughout New York City.
Classes are held on Fridays and Saturdays.
Steel Pan Orchestra
Our Steel Pan Orchestra consists of pre-professional training for youth ages 6 years and older. Under the guidance of our Professional Steel Pan Instructors, students learn rhythm and pitch, while playing everything from Calypso to Classical music. The Steel Pan Orchestra performs throughout Brooklyn, giving students an opportunity to spread their joyful sounds with their community.
